Restaurant meals are undeniably one source of unhealthy food due to excess calories, sugar and fat. But there are certain way to ensure that you are eating in restaurants are good enough for you. Many restaurants nowadays, hand over menu in which ingredients of meals are enumerated and even stating how much calories in there.

The important thing to do when you go out and sat on a fancy chair of bistros or any other food chains is to take time in scrutinizing the menu. You can still enjoy dining out without ingesting too much calories. Being healthy is always our choice.

Even though fizzy drinks are available in different restaurants, you can always opt out to that and instead choose water or healthier drinks like smoothies. Since 17th century soft drinks are made available to people to enjoy. But that doesn't mean we can't avoid it. Soft drinks are okay to consume from time to time but not too much though. Because too much soft drinks can bring bad effects to our health.

  4. I cannot believe there is a burger with 1520 calories. That is beyond belief to me. It seems as if that burger is designed to cause damage.

  5. No wonder there are cup holders in my van. When I was in the Philippines I could not find a cup holder in the taxi I was riding. I totally agree, we eat at least once a week in a restaurant and I am trying to cut that habit and eat more at home

  6. I like dining out. Hamburger sandwich is one of our favorites besides fried chicken. :) We don't go very often though because restaurant food has gotten very expensive.

  7. I have never tried any Carl Jr's burger before. Man! That's a lot of calories to burn. Anyway, that is one of the many reasons we rarely go out to eat. If we do, like on travels, we are very picky. Or go to Subway and order a healthier sandwich. Or go to a store or Deli store and buy things that you can make your own sandwhich, which we do and we find a park somewhere where the kids to eat and play and my husband and I can eat in peace. LOL! And yes, bring lots of water.

  9. My husband and I love to dine out but I don't order sodas, instead I just drink water and if they have the fresh coconut, that's what I order. I stop drinking sodas for 7 years now.

  11. Cooking your own meal is better than eating out. You never know how much sodium they put in you food and the kind of oil they use.

  18. we don't really dine out for the purpose of dining out :) but oftentimes, we are wandering and going home for food is too out of the way and we still have the rest of the day to wander. if we travel, I could not last eating out for straight 3 days, thus I secretly cook rice and steam vegetables in the rice cooker, haha, yes, rice cooker is one very ideal partner in our travels. we bring rice, and oftentimes, hotels have fridge, so, we just buy vegetables to put in the fridge, and that would make me happy. :) somehow, if i eat out consecutively, i feel so sick and could not last wandering.

  21. How I wonder on how to be guilty, but I ate fastfood meals with gusto. The only thing that I'm doing is to exercise to trim body fats. Eat and exercise...

  22. We seldom visit the fast foods. Fast foods are fattening :-( I usually cook though I am not the best cook :-) I try to avoid drinking pop especially Pepsi being my favorite. It has been almost two weeks that I do not drink any pop at all. Drinking water is best for everybody :-)

  23. Eating foods outside the house is risky, Why? Because, we don't have any idea on how it's being prepared. We're not sure if the utensils we're using are clean and sanitized. But, there's nothing wrong in dining out. Who would not? We all do so, let's take the risks. LOL!!!

  24. Now this is very interesting! Well, my family is not one of those who frequent to dine out every week. My housemates won't survive with commercial foods at all! LOL. That having said, the unhealthiest burger mentioned is something UNKNOWN to us! HAhaha! The Coca-cola and Pepsi fact is fascinating! I didn't know at all that it is never available in North Korea. Wow!
